Managing an animal shelter has its own unique challenges different from any other management job. This course will cover Texas HSC 823, HSC 826, and TAC 169 and how those laws affect shelter construction and animal management. In addition, we will review sheltering laws for Texas and how to successfully implement them to ensure not only a passed inspection, but to provide the best level of care to the animals in your shelter. We will also discuss current and emerging animal management philosophies and the tools to navigate them.
